Elections Management

Design and develop a Delphi extension to an Oracle Forms application to manage the scanning, storing and retrieval of electoral documents using an Oracle database.
TWAIN and ISIS scanning are supported in both single scan and ADF batch scan mode.
Features include:

• Extracting and storing signature images from scanned documents either during scanning or on later retrieval and display.
• Scanning Pollbooks with automatic barcode recognition, signature recognition, extraction and separate, but linked, storage.
• Multi-page TIF and JPEG images.
• Black and White, grayscale and color images.
• Image clarity enhancement.
• Multi-tiered access over the Internet.

Web Based Trade Show Registration

Extensive redesign and deployment of a ticket purchase and attendee registration web site. Web pages are prepared and presented using Java and jsp(Java server pages) technology. An Oracle database is used to store and serve the information.

File Transmission

This application, when distributed to customers, lets them select a series of files through a drag and drop, Explorer like, interface.
After the files have been selected, manifest and work order files are automatically created. All the files are then automatically zipped and delivered over the Internet.

Palm Contacts Database - Highly Compressed

Created a proprietary, read only, database for the Palm capable of storing nearly 700,000 voters in just 16MB. Information includes name, date of birth, full address and designated polling station.
The database can be searched by last name plus date of birth or by partial address. Results are almost instantaneous.

Agricultural Produce Control

Rewrite and enhance an application to track the weights of produce and livestock in and out of a farm in Nebraska.
A Firebird database was chosen to store the information.
The application receives the weights direct from the scale via a COM port.

Market Research

Design and deploy an Oracle 8i database for gathering, cleaning and analyzing survey data for a major corporation with locations on the East Coast. Several top class Delphi/Oracle developers were included on the project.

The system includes tables with over 100 million rows and over 20Gig of data. The programming was split between Delphi Enterprise and Oracle's PL/SQL. The work included the use of WANs, compression and imaging.

Hazardous Materials Safety Documentation

Design and develop a software package to surf the web for Material Safety Data Sheets(MSDS). Once found the user can download the document, store and index it together with a wide range of additional information.

The documents can then be quickly located based upon many search criteria, then retrieved and viewed. Multiple document formats are supported.

The application is available from HazMat Control Systems, Inc.

Real Estate Mapping

Design and deploy an automated map-making module for a company supplying real estate reports. The module runs 24x7 with no operator required. It receives map requests from an Interbase SQL Server together with a list of properties (with prices etc.) to be placed on the map. The module calculates the size, magnification and position of the required map based on the supplied properties, draws the map, places the properties and labels them intelligently. The programming was achieved with a combination of Delphi, Interbase and MapInfo.
